Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000

About the Role:

As Product Development Manager, you'll own the end-to-end execution of new products, from concept approval through production readiness. You'll be accountable for timelines, cost, specifications, supplier coordination, quality standards and cross-functional readiness, turning brand and commercial ideas into products that are manufacturable, on time and on cost.

What You'll Do:

Lead product development

• Manage multiple development projects at once, from concept handoff through production approval
• Own timelines, stage-gate milestones and risk mitigation
• Translate approved concepts into detailed specifications, BOMs and production requirements

Manage suppliers and manufacturing

• Lead day-to-day communication with overseas and domestic suppliers
• Run sampling rounds, tooling, materials, testing and revisions
• Negotiate costs, MOQs and lead times in partnership with Sourcing and Operations

Own cost, margin and feasibility

• Own product costing, margin targets and feasibility assessments
• Find cost-down opportunities without compromising quality or brand standards
• Keep development cost tracking and spec databases accurate

Protect quality and compliance

• Define and enforce quality standards
• Oversee testing, validation and compliance requirements
• Make sure products meet functional, safety and regulatory expectations

Drive launch readiness across teams

• Partner with Brand, Marketing, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain so every launch is ready
• Align packaging, labeling and logistics inputs so they're executable
• Equip Sales with accurate specs, timelines and product knowledge

Improve how we work

• Strengthen development workflows, tools and documentation
• Mentor Junior Product Development Managers
• Serve as a go-to expert on development best practices

What You Bring:

Required

• Bachelor's degree
• 3–5 years of product development experience
• Proven experience working with overseas manufacturers
• Strong project management and cost analysis skills
• High attention to detail and a systems-oriented approach

Nice to have

• Consumer goods experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar design tools
