Product Development Manager

About the role

Argia Global Link Inc. is looking for a results-driven Product Innovation Manager to lead product strategy, development, sourcing, and launch across our brands and sales channels. This role combines market research, product innovation, supplier management, costing, quality assurance, and team leadership to develop commercially successful products that meet customer needs, achieve target margins, and launch on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a 12-month product roadmap aligned with business and brand objectives.
• Research market trends, competitor offerings, customer preferences, and sales performance to identify product opportunities.
• Recommend new products, improvements, and product discontinuation based on demand, profitability, and feasibility.
• Prepare monthly trend and customer insight reports and monitor post-launch performance.
• Lead product development from concept and product briefs through sampling, testing, revisions, and final approval.
• Prepare and maintain complete technical packs, bills of materials (BOMs), specification sheets, and packaging requirements.
• Establish product quality standards, coordinate inspections, and resolve supplier-related quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable product safety, labeling, regulatory, and intellectual property requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage local and international suppliers and manufacturers.
• Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, and supplier terms.

About you

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in product development, sourcing, or merchandising within bags, luggage, accessories, fashion, or consumer goods.
• Proven experience leading a team, setting KPIs, and coaching team members.
• Hands-on experience in supplier and factory management, product sampling, costing, negotiation, and quality control.
• Ability to prepare and review technical packs, BOMs, and product specifications.
• Strong understanding of landed costing, gross margins, MOQs, and lead-time planning.
• Working knowledge of applicable product safety, labeling, regulatory, and intellectual property requirements in the Philippines.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP, inventory, or product data management systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills in English and Filipino.
