Production & Development Officer (Packaging)

Key Responsibilities

• Packaging Development: Execute packaging development projects from concept, material evaluation, testing, trials, and implementation.
• Material Testing & Evaluation: Conduct and coordinate testing and qualification of packaging materials to ensure functionality, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Production Trials: Support packaging trials and scale-up activities, identifying and resolving technical issues during implementation.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure packaging specifications and development activities comply with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with QA, Production, Supply Chain, Marketing, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.
• Documentation: Maintain packaging specifications, test results, trial reports, and other technical documentation.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve packaging performance, cost, sustainability, and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in packaging development, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, testing methods, production processes, and quality requirements.
• Experience in packaging trials, material evaluation, and supplier coordination is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
