As our product portfolio and international presence continue to grow, we’re looking for a Product Development Project Manager to help us turn ambitious product ideas into successful launches.

Role Overview

The Product Development Project Manager will own and coordinate the development process of new NL BEAUTY products - from initial concept and product brief to final production and launch readiness.

Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you’ll work at the center of our Product team, coordinating manufacturers, packaging suppliers, laboratories, Regulatory, Marketing, and Operations to make sure every development moves forward with the right quality, timing, and attention to detail.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who loves products, understands how many moving parts sit behind a successful launch, and knows how to keep them all moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple new product development projects from concept to production and launch.

• Translate product concepts into clear development briefs, specifications, timelines, and next steps.

• Coordinate manufacturers, laboratories, packaging suppliers, and other external partners throughout the development process.

• Manage sampling rounds, feedback, reformulations, shade development, testing, packaging development, and approvals.

• Build and maintain detailed development timelines and ensure key milestones and launch deadlines are met.

• Track samples, formulas, components, artwork, documentation, testing, and approvals across all active projects.

• Work closely with Regulatory to ensure formulas, claims, testing, packaging, and documentation meet requirements across target markets.

• Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to ensure product benefits, claims, packaging, and communication are aligned.

• Work with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure a smooth transition from development into production and launch.

• Identify delays, quality issues, and development risks early and proactively drive solutions.

• Continuously improve our product development processes as the number and complexity of launches grow.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product development, project management, or a similar project-based role, preferably within cosmetics, beauty, FMCG, or consumer products.

• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple product developments simultaneously.

• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with international manufacturers and suppliers.

• Ability to manage timelines, follow up relentlessly, and keep multiple stakeholders accountable.

• Commercial and consumer mindset - understanding that a great product needs to perform both on the shelf and with the customer.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Experience in cosmetics product development, manufacturing, packaging, or formulation is a strong advantage.

• Experience working with European and/or Asian cosmetics manufacturers is considered an advantage.
