Product Development Senior Executive

We are looking for a creative and driven Senior Executive to join our Product Development (R&D) team. In this role, you will play an important part in identifying new product opportunities, developing concepts, and bringing innovative merchandise from idea to market.

What You’ll Do

• Research and analyze current and emerging market trends to identify new product opportunities.
• Monitor consumer preferences, competitor activities, pricing, and industry developments to support product strategies.
• Identify new product concepts, designs, materials, and sourcing opportunities based on market trends.
• Lead the development of new products from concept and sample development through to final product.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to develop, refine, and improve products.
• Attend local and international trade fairs, exhibitions, and market visits to source new product ideas and potential suppliers.
• Evaluate product samples and provide recommendations on design, functionality, materials, colors, packaging, and cost.
• Prepare mood boards, product concepts, presentations, and product development proposals.
• Manage and coordinate product development timelines to ensure projects are delivered according to schedule.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and explore new sourcing opportunities.
• Conduct regular market visits to stay updated on the latest consumer trends, designs, and product innovations.
• Provide recommendations and insights to management on potential new products and market opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in any field. Relevant experience in Product Development, R&D, Merchandising, Sourcing, or related fields will be an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in consumer products, retail, merchandising, sourcing, or product development.
• Strong interest in consumer products, market trends, and product innovation.
• Creative mindset with a strong eye for design, color coordination, materials, and product aesthetics.
• Strong market research and analytical skills with the ability to identify potential product opportunities.
• Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Proactive, independent, and able to take ownership of product development projects.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Willing to travel locally and internationally for market research, sourcing, and trade fairs.
