Product Development Team Leader (Non-food)

1. MAIN DUTY:

Summary: Lead the non-food merchandise product line and branded packaging structures within the Creative Department. Reporting directly to the Creative Manager, this role oversees merchandise product development, material sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations (specifically with overseas suppliers/factories), inventory planning, and product proposal presentations.

• Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for branded merchandise lines, seasonal gift sets, and packaging accessories.
• Create merchandise proposals, and periodic commercial reports to present product concepts and business plans to management.
• Manage vendor and supplier networks globally; directly negotiate, source materials, approve samples, and oversee quality control with suppliers/factories.
• Deliver comprehensive tracking and periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) on product sales performance, stock levels, production timelines, and category ROI.
• Oversee inventory levels, demand forecasting, product pricing strategy, and sales performance analysis.
• Ensure seamless synchronization between merchandise launches, marketing campaigns, and in-store visual merchandising.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise team members.

2. REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience relevant to Merchandise Product Development, Packaging Development, Trade Marketing,...
• Solid technical knowledge of production materials, manufacturing processes, cost management (COGS), and vendor negotiations.
• Mandarin Chinese language skill is a major plus (for direct negotiation, sourcing, and communication with suppliers/factories in China).
• Proficiency in Figma is a plus (for building product proposal decks, reviewing dielines, and working with design teams).
