What they need

Job Specification:

Product Manager – Repair Plan Documents & Customer Communications

Role Overview

The Product Manager – Repair Plan Documents & Customer Communications will own the end-to-end lifecycle of Händler Protect’s repair plan documentation. The role will ensure that plan terms, dealer materials, customer communications, operational notices and digital content are accurate, clear, commercially effective and appropriate for the UK independent motor dealer market.

Key Responsibilities

· Repair Plan Documentation: Draft, review and maintain repair plan terms, dealer guides, activation documents, customer communications, FAQs and supporting materials across Händler Protect’s product range.

· UK Legal and Compliance Alignment: Work closely with legal, compliance and leadership teams to ensure documentation reflects applicable UK consumer law, advertising standards, data protection requirements and the discretionary nature of the company’s maintenance repair plans.

· Version Control & Governance: Maintain a controlled document library, approval process, audit trail and archive for all current and superseded materials.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the link between dealer account management, repairs, customer service, finance, marketing, technology and senior leadership during product launches and updates.

· Dealer and Customer Clarity: Convert complex operational and technical information into plain English so dealers can explain the plans consistently and customers can understand eligibility, cover, responsibilities, exclusions and the support process.

· Product Improvement: Use dealer feedback, repair outcomes, customer queries and operational data to identify recurring points of confusion and recommend improvements to products, documents and processes.

· New Product Development: Identify market opportunities and lead the development of new repair plan and aftersales products from initial concept and business case through design, pricing, operational readiness, documentation, dealer testing and launch. Work with dealers and internal teams to ensure each product meets a clear customer need, is commercially viable and can be delivered effectively.

· Training & Launch Support: Produce internal briefings and dealer-facing guidance, and support training for account managers, repairs and customer service teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in insurance or regulated product documentation, product management, compliance, claims/repairs operations, or a closely related field.

· Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the UK used-car market, independent motor dealers and aftersales products. Familiarity with discretionary repair plans and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 is highly desirable.

· Education: A degree or relevant professional qualification in business, law, compliance, automotive management, insurance or a related discipline is desirable; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

· Technical Skills:

o Excellent drafting, editing and proofreading skills, with a strong command of UK English and plain-language principles.

o Experience with document control, content management, CRM or dealer portal workflows, and Microsoft 365.

o Confidence using product, service and operational data to support decisions and prioritise improvements.

· Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and concurrent updates to deadline.

· Personal Approach: Collaborative, pragmatic and customer-focused, with the confidence to challenge unclear wording and take ownership from initial brief through approval and release.

Pay: €30,000.00-€50,000.00 per year

Benefits:
