  • Work within established DevSecOps practices and contribute to product quality, security, compliance and governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Support the continuous improvement of engineering tools, platforms, automation and development processes.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, technical discussions and a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and engineering approaches relevant to Defence and National Security capability development.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in software engineering, systems engineering or product engineering, delivering quality technical products to schedule.
  • Sound understanding of modern engineering practices, including version control, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and secure software development.
  • Experience contributing to the design, development and delivery of software or technical solutions within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach technical challenges in a structured and logical manner.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and a commitment to working in accordance with DEWC's values.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, ICT or Management from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, professional development and technical growth.

Why Join DEWC?

  • Supportive, collaborative and values driven culture
  • Exposure to innovative technologies and complex engineering challenges
  • Opportunities to contribute to cutting edge Defence and National Security capabilities
