Senior Product Engineer (Security Domain)

We are looking for a Product Engineer to lead the development of proprietary products for financial institutions.

Unlike a traditional Security Engineer role focused on internal security operations, governance, or audits, this position centers on designing and building product capabilities that analyze, assess, and visualize vulnerabilities and security risks within customer systems.

You will develop systems that analyze source code, system architectures, libraries, and configuration data to identify security issues and improvement opportunities. Beyond that, you will help transform security assessment expertise into software by implementing rule engines, algorithms, Generative AI, and AI agents, with the goal of replicating and scaling the knowledge of security specialists through technology.

✅ Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity, including:
• Vulnerabilities
• Attack techniques and threat vectors
• Security risks and mitigation strategies
• Ability to translate security challenges into software requirements, architecture, and implementation
• Experience driving projects end-to-end, from planning and development through release and quality assurance
• Business-level English communication skills
• working visa holder or visa permit to work in Japan

☑ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, or security audits
• Knowledge of or development experience with SAST, DAST, or SCA technologies
• Experience with source code analysis, static analysis, or program analysis
• Understanding of CVE, CWE, and CVSS frameworks
• Knowledge of SBOM and software supply chain security
• Security expertise in cloud platforms, networks, operating systems, or middleware
• Experience with or knowledge of ASM, CSPM, CNAPP, and other security platforms
