What they need

About Reintersect:

Modern work is a mess. Productivity theatre eats focus time, everyone’s burned out, and company knowledge is scattered across 20 tools.

Reintersect solves this.

Think Slack, but mindful and fast. The right information, at the right time, automatically prioritized.
Think Notion, but living and intelligent. Documents that update themselves as your company’s knowledge changes.

We’re building an platform for work where clear, high‑signal async collaboration happens. Less noise, less fragmentation. More context. Actual momentum.

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for an exceptional product engineer that builds from scratch, works intensely (but sanely!), and obsesses over quality in their craft.

What we believe in (when it comes to work):

  • No rigid 9-to-5 schedule. Also no overtime. If you’re regularly over 40 hours, that’s on our planning, not you. Outcomes > hours - show up to meetings, communicate, ship. We don't care how/when/where it happens. No performative productivity.
  • We believe in thoughtful candor. If you think any of us is screwing things up, we want you to tell us. We won't fire you for thinking differently than us, the whole point of hiring you is that you think differently than us.
  • Everyone's take matters. We will ask you about your opinion on what we're doing and actually use it. Traditional company structures suck (we've been there) so we're not going to adhere to that.
  • Craft over everything. Care about the details. Quality is the job.
  • Not a “family”. We’re a sports team. You’ll have time to rest and live your life, so you can work at a naturally high startup pace.

Why this job could be the right one for you:

  • You'd rather build than sit in ceremonies. You'll never see a sprint retro on your calendar here.
  • You are exceptional at your craft. Fewer pointless meetings means more building (and yes, that can be intense).
  • "Good enough" pisses you off. You want to ship work you're actually proud of.

Why this job might not be for you:

  • We keep a high bar and support you to meet it within a typical 8 hour day. This means some days can be intense.

  • You should be comfortable with receiving and giving direct, thoughtful feedback. If you’ve spent years tiptoeing, this can feel new.

  • If you prefer strict hirearchies or fixed routines, this won't feel right.

  • Build our core product end-to-end: UI, backend, data performance.

  • Own outcomes: you'll work with designers, leadership, marketing, salespeople, etc. Make things happen without hand-holding.

  • Ship fast with high quality.

  • Define how we build: weigh in on infra, tech stack, and the patterns that shape the product.

  • Keep us tech debt free: avoid spaghetti and set sensible boundaries.

  • Wear many different hats: Monday we scope a problem based on customer feedback; Tuesday we build it; Wednesday we ship and instrument it. Rinse, learn, repeat. It's hard to put it all in bullet points.

  • We do not care if you have a degree. As long as you can demonstrate that you can ship things, we want to meet you.

  • You need to be an exceptional web developer. Knowing your way around Svelte is a massive advantage.

  • Exceptional taste for UX and performance. If you notice a rough edge, you fix it.

  • We want you to be a creative. If you've ever been a Design Engineer, freelanced making landing pages for people, or done anything that indicates you're a creative - we'd love to know.

  • You need to know what to do in the post-ship phase. Building stuff is just the first step. Knowing how to figure out if it's working for the customer is another.

  • 5 weeks of paid time off

  • 2 week long shutdown during the Christmas-New Year period. This doesn't count against your PTO.

  • Unlimited paid sick leave (but if you'll be gone longer than a week, please bring a medical cert. this is obviously within reason, we just don't want to force you to come into work while you're sick)

  • MANY different types of leave (you shouldn't need to take PTO to go to the doctor! also shouldn't need to take PTO if your kid is sick and you need to be with them; we account for this).

  • We'll provide you with a top of the line MacBook for work

  • 401k & match

  • Great health insurance

  • 1% of equity

  • The job ad says hybrid because we want to be honest, but we won't ask you to come into the office often. We make big decisions & brainstorm together at the office. During the rest of your year, you can work anywhere within the US. You can treat the office as a co-working space that you attend whenever you feel like it.

What you can expect from our hiring process:

  • If we like what we see from your answers to our application form, we'll give you a quick screening call.
  • If we're happy with the screening call, we'll schedule a technical interview. Please don't grind LeetCode before it, we won't be doing LeetCode style questions during the interview.
  • If we're happy with the technical interview, we'll schedule the last interview. This will be kind of a vibe check with our CEO & CTO.

After each of these steps, we'll get back to you with an answer. If we decide not to schedule a technical interview, we'll send you an e-mail to not keep you waiting. If either after the technical interview or team vibe check we decide to not go with you, we'll do our best to make that e-mail include some feedback for you. Our target is not ghosting anyone, and providing helpful feedback when possible.

Other offers great for you!
