Our Team

• You will work within the Manufacturing Engineering department, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What You Will Do

• Develop products that provide most customers with preferable product performance and quality.
• Coordinate design development with the Global Product team and GID.
• Translate or design in Molex’s engineering document and drawing standard format.
• Support the fabrication of product samples for customer review and approval.
• Handle RFQs for engineering, gathering BOM, process, and tooling costs.
• Support the team in continuously improving quality and productivity (senior level only).
• Support the team in solving quality and production issues relating to product design.
• Lead or support the end-to-end engineering change process, from initial request or notice from the customer through to production.
• Provide technical service and support to both internal and external customers.
• Dive into root cause analysis and troubleshooting throughout the design phase.
• Build and test prototypes to push product performance to meet customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in design, cost, and quality (senior level only).
• Solve engineering issues relating to quality, cost, and timing expectations by analysing possible solutions using technical experience and judgement, with a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• A degree in Electrical or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of product development experience; wire harness assembly or molding experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably NX CAD; experience with other tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is also welcome.
• Hands-on experience with design validation.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience in PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Ability to elevate urgency and timeliness in root cause identification, issue resolution, and project implementation.
• Proactive and vigilant engineering change management, with robust action plans to achieve change closure.
• Testing design and development experience is preferred.
