Product Engineer (Electronics)

The Product Engineer is responsible for specifying and designing the complete product considered on the stated requirements, taking responsibility for the engineering of products and monitoring the product’s lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design of a new products as well as product’s lifecycle all stages, as a prototype creation, testing, manufacturing and service.
• Creation of functional design specifications based on the stated requirements.
• Creation of system schematics, drawings, block diagrams, bill of materials etc.
• Creation of technical documentation, including manuals and test procedures.
• Ensuring the product compliance with International standards.
• Identification of the weak sides of the product and implementation of the improvements.
• Analyzing of the competitors’ products and market researching.
• Product testing and analysis of test data.
• Search and research of usable ready subsystem, support of supplying department.
• Ensuring of compliance with expected costs.
• Following the schedules and tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager
• Assisting of the R&D team with the development and assessment of new products
• Attending in meetings, exhibitions and on-site installations.

Educational Requirements:

University or Technological Institute degree in either Electronic Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering, ideally with combination with a mechanical engineering degree.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Good experience in design of complete products.
• Experience in Electricals, Electronics and Electromechanical devices.
• Fluent in electrical, electronic and mechanical drawing reading.
• Capability to reveal the specifications from the requirements.
• Experience with electrical and electronics systems Integration.
• CAD and simulation software experience (Desirable SolidWorks).
• Software controlled systems implementation understanding.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes.
• Physical analysis methods.
• Strong analytic work methodology, problem solving skills and decision making.
• Work without supervision.
• Knowledge of common software tools, as Microsoft office.
• Fluent in English.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of low power systems (Solar powered electronics).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Programming languages (C/C++).
• Statistical methods and tools.
