Product Engineer (Full-stack) | New York (Flatiron), hybrid | $190K to $225K + equity

The company

Our client is a Series A AI healthcare company in New York, founded in 2023 by physicians and engineers. They are building an AI-native medical practice: in-house licensed clinicians working with custom AI tools to give patients personalized care in minutes, around the clock. They have raised $35M+ from top-tier VCs, grew revenue 5x last year, and are rolling out nationally with a Fortune 10 partner alongside work with major payers and digital health platforms. The team is around 90 people and hiring at least four engineers this year.

What you'll work on

• Patient-facing features on web and mobile that drive engagement and retention
• Scaling backend infrastructure, with a focus on stability and data integrity
• The physician-facing care platform, including AI tooling that makes clinicians faster
• Integrations with large enterprise clients: EMR integrations, claims data from health plans, HIE record parsing

You'll own product end to end and work closely with product, clinical and commercial teams.

What they're looking for

• 5 to 10 years of engineering experience, including 0-to-1 product work at a startup or on a new team at a larger company
• You have shipped net new, consumer-facing products for end users. If your work has been only infrastructure or internal tools, this won't be the right fit
• Strong with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, React Native, Postgres and AWS. Terraform, Redis and Python are a plus
• A product mindset: you think about the person using what you build
• Clear communicator, low ego, team-first
• A CS degree from a top university and/or time at standout engineering companies is a strong signal

The details

• Location: New York (Flatiron), in office 3 to 4 days a week. You need to be NYC-based or willing to relocate
• Base salary: $190K to $225K, plus competitive equity
• Work authorization: US citizens and Green Card holders only. No visa sponsorship
• Interview process: 20-minute intro, 1-hour technical assessment (TypeScript or Python), hiring manager project retro, one-day onsite. Usually wraps in about two weeks
