Product Engineer - Seating Systems

Position: Product Engineer - Seating Systems
Domain: Automotive / Railway / Aerospace Seating Systems
Experience: 6-8 Years
Location: Pune

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead conceptualization, design and development of seating system components and assemblies.
• Develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation using CATIA V5/V6.
• Drive product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and production release.
• Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, DFMEA, GD&T, and engineering change management.
• Support prototype builds, testing, root cause analysis, and design optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4-8 years of experience in product design and development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in CATIA V5/V6.
• Good understanding of sheet metal, plastic components, mechanisms, GD&T, tolerance stack-up and DFM/DFA.
• Experience in Automotive, Railway, or Aerospace seating/interior systems preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Seating structures, recliner mechanisms, seat tracks, armrests, headrests, and occupant comfort systems.
• Product conceptualization, rapid prototyping, validation, and launch support.
