Product Engineering Manager

About the role

Lead and direct the Product Engineering team in designing, developing, and implementing new products as well as enhancing existing products. Ensure that all product engineering processes run efficiently and effectively, in accordance with technical specifications, budgets, and established deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Design product development strategies aligned with market needs and company business objectives
• Oversee the entire product design and development process, from conceptual stage to mass production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements
• Manage product development projects, ensuring each phase runs according to established schedules and budgets
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure effective integration of new products to market
• Prepare regular reports on project progress and provide updates to senior management
• Identify opportunities for innovation in product development and process improvements
• Lead, mentor, and develop Product Engineering team members to achieve maximum performance
• Ensure all developed products meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage budgets and available resources for product development, including materials, labour, and technology

About you

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Strong team management skills and ability to motivate and develop team members
• Sharp analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
• Understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirements in related industries
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various departments
• Ability to adapt to change and work in a dynamic environment
• Deep understanding of engineering principles, product design, and project management
• Experience in developing and launching new products from concept to mass production
