About KARL STORZ From the operating room to surgery centers and everywhere in between, KARL STORZ North America is a global leader in medical technology and advanced visualization solutions. We design specialty innovations, smart instruments and devices, integrated ecosystems, and intelligent imaging to build a more connected, software-enabled operating room.

As an independent, family-owned MedTech company, we ambitiously think in generations instead of quarters to improve patients' lives around the world.

About The Role The Product Evaluation Operator III is a highly skilled role responsible for evaluating medical devices, instruments, equipment, software, and related system components to determine the appropriate disposition of each product. Serving as a subject matter expert within the operation, you will apply advanced technical knowledge, system expertise, and independent judgment to manage complex evaluations, troubleshoot exceptions, and support critical business processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, inventory accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction while contributing to training, process improvements, and operational excellence within a regulated medical device environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

What You'll Do

  • Perform advanced evaluations of returned medical devices, equipment, instruments, software, and system components to determine disposition including repair, replacement, return-to-inventory, upgrade, downgrade, or scrap.
  • Execute complex SAP, WMS, and related system transactions while maintaining inventory accuracy, data integrity, traceability, and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot advanced issues involving product configurations, software functionality, transaction processing, documentation gaps, and product history.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by providing technical guidance, peer support, onboarding assistance, and cross-training.
  • Support FCO and KSRAPS-related processes while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
  • Contribute to work instruction development, process standardization, audits, LEAN initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of KARL STORZ experience or relevant experience in logistics, warehouse operations, manufacturing, returns processing, or a similar operational environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with SAP, WMS, or other ERP systems, including complex transaction processing and issue resolution.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to evaluate product functionality, condition, software status, and disposition requirements independently.
  • Experience interpreting schematics, work instructions, process documentation, and technical requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a medical device, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, service, warehouse, or distribution environment.

Nice to Have

  • 4+ years of experience in a regulated medical device, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution setting.
  • Experience with FDA, ISO, OSHA, DOT, or other regulated quality and compliance systems.
  • Experience supporting training, audits, technical writing, process standardization, or continuous improvement activities.
  • Previous experience serving as a technical resource or subject matter expert.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex product and system issues.
  • Expertise in evaluation processes, ERP systems, and technical documentation.
  • A commitment to quality, compliance, and data accuracy in a regulated environment.
  • The ability to provide leadership through knowledge-sharing, coaching, and process guidance.
  • A continuous improvement mindset focused on operational efficiency and process excellence.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
