Role:

Simplify Healthcare is the leader in healthcare payer Digital Business Transformation and is looking to build a team of sharp, detail-oriented, self-motivated change agents and domain experts who will enable and improve the digital transformation of fundamental business operations.

Define the product vision and create a product roadmap aligned with business goals and market opportunities. Manage the product backlog by anticipating client needs and prioritizing features that deliver measurable business value. Drive product innovation objectives and release content (release notes, product documentation updates, demos, and training artifacts) via prioritized features following Agile best practices.

As a Product Manager, you will partner with business, operations, engineering, architecture, UX, analytics, and AI teams throughout the product lifecycle, including vision, requirements, deployment, optimization, and adoption. You are expected to have a strong understanding of healthcare payer systems, workflows, claims operations, and competitive industry offerings while identifying opportunities to modernize processes through AI-enabled capabilities and intelligent automation.

The ideal candidate will combine healthcare payer expertise, product management discipline, strategic thinking, customer-centricity, and emerging AI product capabilities to help shape the next generation of digital healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and client objectives.
  • Translate healthcare payer operational challenges into scalable digital and AI-enabled product solutions.
  • Drive product consistency, usability, scalability, and innovation across the platform.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML, automation, predictive analytics, generative AI, and intelligent workflows to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Own and manage the product backlog by balancing customer needs, technical priorities, business objectives, and market opportunities.
  • Work closely with engineering, architecture, UX, QA, analytics, and AI teams to deliver high-quality products and enhancements.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering, prioritization, sprint planning, story refinement, and release planning following Agile best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate AI-assisted workflows, intelligent automation, decision-support models, and data-driven product capabilities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product releases while maintaining quality, scalability, security, and compliance standards.
  • Support release readiness through documentation, release notes, demos, training materials, and stakeholder communication.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, implementation teams, and executive leadership.
  • Act as the bridge between business and technology teams to ensure alignment and execution clarity.
  • Lead product discussions with clients to understand business goals, operational pain points, and transformation opportunities.
  • Communicate product direction, tradeoffs, priorities, and business impact effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Influence prioritization decisions through strong analytical thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Anticipate risks, identify blockers early, and proactively drive resolution.
  • Mentor and guide Business Analysts, Product Consultants, Associate Product Managers, and operational teams.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.
  • Drive proactive problem solving rather than reactive issue management.
  • Foster cross-functional alignment and ensure clarity of product direction across teams.
  • Contribute to organizational product maturity, AI transformation initiatives, and best practices.

Healthcare Domain Product Expertise

  • Develop deep expertise in healthcare payer workflows including benefits, claims, prior authorization, provider, member, and clinical data.
  • Understand healthcare interoperability standards, payer operations, utilization management, and claims adjudication workflows.
  • Translate healthcare business requirements into scalable platform capabilities and configurable product features.
  • Evaluate feature fitment between standard product functionality and client-specific customization requirements.
  • Bring customer-centric thinking into all product decisions by understanding user workflows, operational pain points, and adoption challenges.

AI Digital Transformation Expectations

As part of Simplify Healthcares AI-enabled product transformation journey, Product Managers are expected to:

  • Identify opportunities for Generative AI, intelligent automation, conversational AI, and predictive analytics within healthcare payer workflows.
  • Partner with AI, data science, and engineering teams to define AI-driven product use cases and measurable business outcomes.
  • Understand responsible AI principles including explainability, governance, security, compliance, and healthcare data privacy.
  • Drive AI-assisted user experiences that improve operational productivity, decision-making, and customer engagement.
  • Evaluate market trends related to AI-enabled healthcare platforms, digital experience modernization, and workflow automation.
  • Champion adoption of AI-powered product capabilities across clients and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • 1015 years of relevant experience, including product management experience in healthcare technology, payer platforms, or healthcare informatics.
  • Bachelors degree or international equivalent required.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and digital product delivery.
  • Experience working with healthcare data models, operational workflows, and enterprise platform products.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven products, analytics platforms, workflow automation, or digital transformation initiatives preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale products, process transformation initiatives, and cross-functional programs.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, UX, architecture, implementation, and client success teams.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving, and highly collaborative environments.
  • Knowledge understanding of healthcare payer ecosystems including claims, benefits, provider, member, authorization, and clinical workflows.
