Product Manager

Organization: Global Payments & Remittance Company Location: Lagos, Nigeria Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: To be discussed based on experience and qualifications Role Summary The Product Manager will own the end-to-end lifecycle of the organizations cross-border payment products, working closely with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Business Development, Finance, and strategic partners to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-centric payment solutions. The successful candidate will translate business needs into product requirements, prioritize product roadmaps, and ensure successful product delivery while improving customer experience and transaction performance. Key Responsibilities • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for BanffPay's cross-border payment products. • Gather and prioritize business, customer, and regulatory requirements into clear product specifications and user stories. • Work closely with Engineering, QA, UX/UI, Operations, and Compliance teams to deliver high-quality product releases. • Manage product backlogs, sprint planning, feature prioritization, and release schedules using Agile methodologies. • Coordinate the integration of banks, payment gateways, mobile money operators, remittance partners, and Payment Service Providers (PSPs). • Monitor product performance, transaction success rates, customer feedback, and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement. • Collaborate with Compliance to ensure products meet AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions screening, and regulatory requirements. • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer interviews to identify new product opportunities. • Prepare Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), process flows, acceptance criteria, and release documentation. • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployments, and post-launch monitoring. • Work with Customer Support and Operations to resolve product issues and improve customer experience. • Present product updates, roadmaps, and performance reports to senior management. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Product Specialist within a fintech, payments, banking, remittance, or financial services environment. • Proven experience delivering digital payment or financial products from concept to production. • Experience working with Agile/Scrum development teams and managing product backlogs. • Good understanding of APIs, payment integrations, and software development lifecycle (SDLC). • Experience with cross-border payments, remittance, merchant acquiring, digital wallets, payment gateways, or mobile money solutions is highly desirable.
