About TSG
The Strawhecker Group is a globally recognized analytics and consulting firm serving the payments industry. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, TSG supports more than 1,000 clients, including Fortune 500 companies and some of the world’s most valuable brands.
TSG helps payments companies make better strategic, operational, and product decisions through data, benchmarking, market expertise, consulting, analytics, and technology-enabled insights. Our work sits at the intersection of payments, data, client experience, and product innovation.
We are looking for people who can operate with ownership, curiosity, urgency, and sound judgment. At TSG, product work is highly cross-functional. Success requires the ability to understand complex client needs, translate ambiguity into clear priorities, and partner across Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, Marketing, Support, and leadership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
If you want to build and improve products that help payments companies understand performance, identify opportunities, and act with confidence, TSG is the place to do it.
About the Role
As a Product Manager at TSG, you will help manage and advance digital products that support client needs, business goals, and market opportunities. This is a hands-on, cross-functional product role responsible for discovery, roadmap input, backlog priorities, requirements clarity, launch readiness, and post-launch product performance.
You will work closely with the Head of Product, leadership, engineers, data teams, designers, client-facing teams, and internal stakeholders to bring valuable product capabilities to market.
Your scope will include:
Product discovery and roadmap input — Conduct user research, discovery interviews, feedback analysis, and market research to understand customer needs, validate problems, identify opportunities, and recommend product priorities.
Requirements and backlog management — Translate business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities into clear requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery priorities.
Data-driven product experiences — Partner with Data, Engineering, and analytical teams to define product requirements for reporting, analytics, workflows, insights, and customer-facing data experiences.
Cross-functional delivery and launch readiness — Work across Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, Marketing, Support, and leadership to align scope, manage tradeoffs, coordinate launch readiness, and ensure products are delivered with clarity and value.
We’re looking for someone who can work comfortably across business, technical, data, and customer-facing teams; who understands how to prioritize competing needs; and who can help turn complex payments and analytics problems into intuitive, useful product experiences.
What You’ll Do
Conduct user research, discovery interviews, surveys, user testing, and customer feedback analysis to understand customer needs, pain points, and opportunities.
Analyze market trends, competitive offerings, product usage patterns, client feedback, and stakeholder input to identify opportunities for product improvement and differentiation.
Recommend product features and roadmap investments based on user impact, feasibility, business value, strategic fit, and delivery constraints.
Translate business objectives and customer needs into clear product requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
Own and prioritize the product backlog, including scope tradeoffs, release priorities, and readiness requirements.
Partner across the organization for discovery, design, build, launch and post launch activities.
Define product success metrics and use data, customer behavior, adoption trends, and feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Monitor post-launch adoption, user feedback, issue trends, product performance, and business impact to inform future roadmap recommendations.
What You Need
3–5 years of product management experience, or related experience managing digital products.
Experience working with digital products in payments, fintech, SaaS, consulting, data, analytics, financial services, or technology-enabled services.
Strong customer empathy and demonstrated ability to understand customer workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes.
Strong analytical skills, including comfort defining KPIs, interpreting product data, evaluating tradeoffs, and using evidence to guide prioritization.
Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain product direction, tradeoffs, progress, risks, and recommendations clearly.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with reporting products, embedded analytics, customer-facing dashboards, benchmarking tools, or data-driven product experiences.
Familiarity with data licensing, benchmarking methodologies, market research, or industry datasets.
Experience building products with a significant AI component, especially if leveraging LLMs.
