Product Manager

I’m currently working on a 12 month FTC Product Manager - Payments opportunity with a leading banking organisation in Athens, supporting its Cards & Payments function and wider digital payments transformation.

Overview of the Role

The successful candidate will manage and deliver payments-related products, programmes and technology projects , working closely with client stakeholders and a global payments technology partner.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong payments lifecycle, card scheme and digital payments knowledge , who can bridge the gap between business, technology and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple payments programmes and projects

• Support the implementation of complex payment technology solutions

• Work across card products, digital payments and transaction processing

• Coordinate stakeholders across Product, IT, Operations, Sales and Marketing

• Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies and governance

• Analyse KPIs and identify opportunities to optimise product performance

• Support the delivery and adoption of new payment products and services

• Present project progress, business cases and recommendations to senior stakeholders

• Identify opportunities to create additional value through payment products and services

Knowledge & Experience

- 4 - 6 years’ experience in Product Management, Payments or a similar role

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end payments ecosystem

• Experience across card schemes, transaction processing, issuing/acquiring and digital payments

• Experience managing large-scale software or technology implementation projects

• Strong project/programme and stakeholder management experience

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a matrix environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience working with development/technology teams

• Client-facing or consulting experience is advantageous

• Mastercard experience would be a nice to have

Mandatory Skills

• Fluent Greek & English
• Proven payments industry experience
• Strong knowledge of payment processes and lifecycle
• Card scheme knowledge
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and business-tool proficiency
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
