Product Manager

An established retirement services firm is transforming into a financial technology company. They need a Product Manager who knows how plan sponsors, recordkeepers, and participants actually experience this industry and can turn that into better software.

If you've built product for 401(k) plans, recordkeeping, or retirement plan administration, you already have the hardest qualification for this role to find.

About the Role

You'll own products end to end: discovery, roadmap, requirements, launch, and optimization. You'll be measured on outcomes (client adoption, KPIs, and NPS), not output. No direct reports; you'll lead engineering, design, operations, and compliance through influence.

What You'll Do

• Own product vision and an outcome-based roadmap balancing customer value, business impact, and risk
• Lead customer discovery and validate opportunities with research and data
• Write clear epics, user stories, and requirements for agile delivery teams
• Define success metrics before launch, then track adoption and performance after
• Present decision-ready recommendations to product and executive leadership

What You Bring

• 3+ years in retirement services or at a company building retirement industry software (recordkeeping, TPA, distributions, plan administration)
• 2+ years of B2B enterprise SaaS product management
• A track record taking digital products from discovery through launch and iteration
• Strong data judgment and confident executive presentation skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and explicit tradeoffs
• Proactive communicator

Nice to Have

• Fintech Product Owner or Business Analyst background
• UX experience
• CSPO, SAFe, or Pragmatic certification
• Jira, Confluence, and Figma

The Details

• $140,000–$160,000 base salary
• Remote
• Full-time, direct hire
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship
