Product Manager, Hardware Solutions

As our Product Manager – Hardware Solutions, you’ll lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle of our hardware portfolio, including panels, keypads, communicators, sensors, modules, and other security devices.

You’ll work closely with engineering, software, sales, marketing, customers, and senior leadership to identify opportunities, define product requirements, bring new products to market, and continually improve our solutions across intrusion, access control, and fire.

What You’ll Do

• Lead hardware products from concept through development, launch, and ongoing improvement. Coach, teach, and mentor team members in a manner which builds trust, collaboration, and breaks down barriers.
• Build and manage the product roadmap and long-term product strategy.
• Successfully build and manage customer relationships, communications, and expectations to grow our security, access control and fire offerings, while minimizing risk to the company using effective communication.
• Work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver quality products.
• Research customers, competitors, and market trends to identify new opportunities.
• Visit customers and dealers to understand their needs and uncover product gaps.
• Prioritize initiatives based on customer and business impact.
• Partner with software and service teams to create a seamless customer experience.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Observance and adherence to DMP Data Classification policy.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of product management experience, preferably with hardware products.
• Strong knowledge of intrusion, access control, and/or fire security products with in-depth understanding of product specifications, competitors and the security landscape.
• Experience managing products throughout their complete lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.
• A self-starter mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
• Ability to present ideas and product updates to both technical and executive audiences.
• Willingness to travel to visit customers and partners.
