Product Owner

Join Stoa early and help shape what we build next. You’ll work directly with the founders, turn customer needs into live products and help bring them to market across the UK and US. Product development 60%

• Be the voice of the customer, bringing customer feedback and requirements from across the business into product decisions.
• Run the prioritisation process, keeping priorities current and organising fortnightly prioritisation sessions.
• Own the product backlog, track delivery, escalate blockers and lead their resolution.
• Set release deadlines with the engineering team, linking delivery to commercial priorities and revenue targets.
• Lead cross-functional feature teams, ensuring product, engineering, operations and marketing are aligned from planning through launch.
• Develop clear user stories and playbooks, connecting product delivery with our marketing strategy.
• Use customer feedback, market research and competitor insights to inform what we build next.

Product distribution 40%

• Manage relationships with our banking distribution partners, helping turn partnerships into successful launches.
• Support the recruitment of new bank partners.
• Help bring merchants and other distribution partners on board.
• Represent Stoa at conferences, industry events and relevant speaking opportunities.
• Help shape our growth strategy using what you learn from customers, partners and product performance.

What we’re looking for

• Experience owning a product backlog and delivering digital products in a startup, fintech or similarly fast-moving business.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to turn broad business needs into clear priorities and actionable requirements.
• Confidence working with engineers, commercial teams and external partners.
• Someone who follows through, resolves problems proactively and takes responsibility for getting products into customers’ hands.
• Comfortable combining detailed product delivery with relationship management and business development.
