Join our growing Australasian business

Whites Powersports is one of Australasia’s largest motorcycle parts and accessories distributors, representing more than 50 leading brands across New Zealand and Australia.

We are a progressive, family-owned business with ambitious international goals, long-standing supplier and customer relationships, and a genuine passion for powersports. Our New Zealand head office is based in a purpose-built facility in Horotiu, with Australian sales and distribution operations across Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth.

With more than 105 team members across New Zealand and Australia, we are continuing to grow and are looking for an organised and proactive Product Purchaser to join our Supply Chain team.

About the role

This is a permanent full-time role based in Horotiu, reporting to the Group Supply Chain Manager. As Product Purchaser, you will help ensure we have the right products available at the right time for our customers.

You will analyse sales and inventory information, create and manage purchase orders, monitor shipments, and communicate with local and international suppliers. You will also work closely with our internal teams, warehouses, customers, and freight forwarders to keep purchasing and supply activities running smoothly.

This position would suit someone who enjoys working with data, managing detail, building strong working relationships, and coordinating multiple priorities. Previous purchasing experience would be an advantage, but on-the-job training will be provided.

What you’ll do

  • ·Analyse sales trends and support inventory forecasting and budgeting.
  • Create, monitor, and manage purchase orders.
  • Coordinate product orders from local and international suppliers.
  • Monitor product lead times and shipment progress.
  • Provide timely shipment-status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal departments.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, product, and shipment information.
  • Help ensure consistent product availability across the business.

What you’ll bring

  • ·Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Comfort working with data and identifying trends.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to plan, prioritise, and manage changing requirements.
  • A collaborative working style and willingness to support others.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a genuine willingness to learn.

It would be an advantage if you have

  • ·Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain.
  • Experience working with international suppliers.
  • An understanding of freight, importing, or shipment processes.
  • Knowledge of motorcycles, parts, apparel, or accessories.

An interest in motorcycles or powersports would be valuable, although industry experience is not essential if you are enthusiastic about learning.

Our people are central to our success. We are guided by four core values:

  • ·Having Fun: We are committed to delivering high-quality work while creating an enjoyable workplace
  • Acting in the Spirit: We treat all relationships with respect and compassion.
  • Always Learning: We remain curious, open-minded, and committed to development.
  • Passion for Powersports: We are genuinely enthusiastic about motorcycles and the wider powersports industry.

.

What we offer

  • ·A competitive salary.
  • Performance bonuses.
  • Health insurance.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Career-development opportunities within a growing Australasian business.
  • Heavily discounted products.
  • A supportive and social team environment.
  • Team events and opportunities to celebrate success.

Ready to join us?

If our values resonate with you and you would like to contribute to a progressive, fast-moving Australasian business, we would love to hear from you. Please apply with your CV and cover letter, outlining the experience and strengths you would bring to the role.
