Product Quality Engineer (Electronics)

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure products meet customer specifications, quality standards and technical requirements.
• Support new product and product engineering activities to ensure quality requirements are achieved.
• Evaluate customer RMA returns and product quality issues, working with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Conduct product validation and verification activities.
• Perform technical failure analysis and troubleshooting for new and existing products.
• Prepare engineering and quality investigation reports for product issues.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and improve Process Instructions (PI) and inspection requirements.
• Understand product applications and support the setup of testers, fixtures and inspection equipment.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and new product qualification activities.
• Maintain readiness and status of test equipment and coordinate related activities with Engineering.
• Provide technical training on product quality requirements where required.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
• Travel overseas when required for customer, supplier or project support

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical quality, product quality, electronics manufacturing or related engineering functions.

• Experience in PCBA, cable/wire harness and/or box-build manufacturing will be advantageous.

• Hands-on experience in product testing, validation, troubleshooting and failure analysis.

• Experience with FAI / First Article Inspection and product qualification.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering documentation.

• Knowledge of environmental, safety or aerospace requirements will be an added advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Resourceful, independent and strong in analytical problem-solving.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willing to travel overseas when required.
