Product Quality Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing)

Job Responsibilities:

• Support product quality activities to ensure products meet customer requirements and internal quality standards.
• Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to investigate and resolve product quality issues.
• Evaluate customer complaints, RMA returns and conduct failure analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical investigation reports, troubleshooting reports and quality improvement documentation.
• Support new product introduction activities including product validation, verification and First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Provide technical support for product testing, inspection methods and quality requirements.
• Work with Engineering teams to develop and improve process instructions, inspection criteria and test requirements.
• Ensure test equipment, fixtures and measurement tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Support product qualification activities and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Conduct quality reviews and provide technical training on product quality requirements when required.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product reliability and manufacturing quality.
• Travel overseas when required for customer or project support.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing, product quality or technical quality roles.

• Experience in PCBA, cable/wire harness or box-build assembly will be advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of quality tools including:

  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • 8D Problem Solving
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • First Article Inspection (FAI)

• Hands-on experience with testing and measurement equipment such as:

  • Multimeter
  • LCR Meter
  • Electrical test equipment
  • Measurement fixtures

• Experience with product validation, troubleshooting and failure analysis.

• Familiar with quality systems and manufacturing processes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
