Product Sales Specification Specialist - Architect

About the role

Sales Representative focused on Specification with an integral role working with the project sales team. The representative is focused on supporting the top architectural firms in the country. The Sales Representative – Specification will be responsible for preparing technical door and hardware specification documents and acting as a trusted and knowledgeable resource to design professionals on innovative, functional, and code compliant door opening applications. They will have the power of Openings Studio to enhance workflow productivity and project management skills.

Key responsibilities

• Creating, engineering, and producing door and hardware specifications for all types of residential and commercial building applications – schools, hospitals, offices, multifamily housing, entertainment, hospitality, and more.
• Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
• Recommending door and hardware solutions to meet the design requirements for security, aesthetics, sustainability, and accessibility.
• Designing electrified access control product and software systems for door openings.
• Working in tandem with our Product Marketing team to foster positive customer experience and deliver on time project deliverables.
• Assisting with project submittal reviews and substitution approval processes to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
• Deliver targeted presentations highlighting new products and solutions.
• Cultivate consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
• Utilizing CRM and Openings Studio as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or any related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of industry-related experience.
• Proficiency with computer software applications including Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Powerpoint, etc).
• Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required.
• Detail orientated with strong organizational skills and time management habits.
• Motivated self-starter with a high aptitude for acquiring new skills and principles.
• Able to handle multitasks, work under pressure and working in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
