Job Description Video surveillance solutions are ubiquitous and vital in maintaining accountability in our society today. They can serve as silent witnesses to a scene, act as a deterrent, and often simply serve as a means to reassure a property owner. Synology has been consistently innovating in the field of video surveillance, leveraging our storage expertise to build robust, feature-rich, and cost-effective solutions that are overseeing countless locations today. Your role involves a great deal of collaboration between engineering, design, and management teams. As a product specialist for surveillance products, you will work closely with our software and hardware engineering team to guide products from conception to launch. You will bridge the technical and business worlds together as you design products that our users love. You will identify and address user requirements, help define a product vision and strategy, and work with engineers to execute those plans.You will also manage the release plan for our surveillance software, keeping teams aligned so each release ships with the right scope and quality. You will: - Define and maintain specifications for our surveillance products throughout their development and production cycles - Coordinate and monitor new product development status, ensuring that all tasks are done in a timely manner to meet product launch schedules - Collaborate with other development teams to ensure your product works seamlessly within our ecosystem - Own the release plan and schedule for surveillance software, managing scope and risk, and aligning timelines and deliverables across QA, designers, technical writers, and other cross-functional teams

Requirements You are expected to have: - A minimum of 2 years of experience in hardware or firmware product management, or a related field within the IT industry. - Experience in product management or product design with a focus on video management systems, NVRs, IP cameras, or other surveillance products - Experience managing software release cycles, such as versioning, release branching, beta programs, and hotfix processes - Hands-on experience using AI tools deliberately in your daily work (e.g., research, drafting specs, analyzing data), with concrete examples to share We're targeting candidates with: - A meticulously organized individual that takes responsibility for their projects - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English - A mindset ready to take up challenges and is eager to learn new skills - Proficiency in presentation applications and skills, able to deliver clear and concise information - A detail-oriented coordinator who enjoys bringing people together, builds consensus when priorities conflict, keeps track of moving parts, and follows through on commitments - Experience making AI a dependable part of your work: using it consistently, understanding its limits, and continually refining how you apply it
