Product Support Technical Representative

SIMCO is a Mackay based company that specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of Dragline Buckets, Ground Engaging Tools (G.E.T), Dragline Rigging, Dipper Buckets, Excavator Buckets and Cast Lip Systems that are sold and supported to mining customers around the globe.

Due to our continued growth with new long-term contracts and existing contracts in Australia and Overseas, we are seeking the services of a Product Support Technical Representatives that is proficient with monitoring service life of wear parts and managing onsite customer relationships. This role is full time and based in the Bowen Basin Coalfields.

Candidates must be local residents of the Bowen Basin area or willing to relocate to the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as principal point of contact for all onsite customer related enquiries.
• Monitor the SIMCO products during service and maintain technical records.
• Provide weekly bucket and rigging inspection reports to field maintenance personnel and dragline planners.
• Provide technical support to all onsite personnel.
• Onsite Inventory control and stocktakes.
• Manage and foster continuous product improvement.
• Provide weekly safety interactions during site visits.

Key Criteria:

• Safety focused and ability to follow procedures.
• Mechanical trades qualification or demonstrated mechanical aptitude required.
• 3-5 years mining industry experience required.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Computer literacy with MS Office suite
• Excellent communication skills –verbal and written.
• Organized and self-motivated with effective time management skills
• Adaptability to maintain work output during times of pressure and deadlines.
• Working as a member of an enthusiastic and passionate team
• Current manual driver's license
• Standard 11 Induction
• Coal Board Medical
