About the Role

We are experiencing rapid growth and are looking for structured, tech-minded project professionals in Hong Kong to support our expansion. The ideal candidate will be:

• Patient & Organized: Methodical in project tracking, technical troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Tech-Curious: Eager to explore, evaluate, and test emerging hardware and smart card technologies.
• Team-focused: A collaborative communicator who bridges technical and non-technical teams.

Based locally in Hong Kong and working closely with cross-functional commercial and engineering teams, you will oversee product technical lifecycles, lead technical project execution, manage sample validation, and serve as the core bridge between technical specifications and client requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Technical Project Management: Oversee technical project lifecycles from concept through prototyping and production, ensuring deliverable timelines, quality control standards, and technical specifications are met.

• Cross-Functional Bridge: Act as the primary technical liaison between internal commercial/business development teams and engineering/production facilities to resolve technical queries and align client requirements.

• Product Evaluation & Testing: Conduct hands-on technical evaluations, sample validations, and root-cause analysis for new product developments (NPD) involving RFID, smart cards, and hardware solutions.

• Process & Technical Documentation: Create, organize, and maintain structured technical documentation, product datasheets, compliance standards, and quality specifications.

• Technology Research: Stay curious about emerging hardware, semiconductor, and smart card technologies, conducting technical feasibility studies to support product roadmaps.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree holder or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Material Science, Physics, or a related Science/Technical discipline.

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

• Core Competencies & Background:

  • Patient & Organized: Highly methodical approach to technical troubleshooting, project tracking, sample logs, and complex documentation.
  • Tech Curiosity & Fast Learner: Strong desire to explore hardware technologies with foundational knowledge or quick learning capacity in RFID, semiconductors, smart cards, or electronic components.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong team player who liaises smoothly across cross-functional teams (production, engineering, and sales).
  • Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing multi-stakeholder technical project schedules under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency: Independent, proactive, and proficient in MS Office and project tracking tools.

• Travel & Mindset:

  • Willingness to undertake frequent business travel to Mainland China manufacturing facilities and international project sites for technical evaluations and factory audits based on business needs.
  • Professional maturity, high attention to detail, and a practical engineering mindset.

• Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on technical project management, product development, or technical support experience within hardware, electronics, semiconductor, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Candidates with more extensive leadership experience and technical depth will be considered for Senior Product Technical Manager or Product Technical Director.
