Production Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our production projects. This role is responsible for managing budgets, tracking costs, ensuring financial compliance, and providing actionable insights throughout the production lifecycle. The ideal candidate will work closely with production teams and internal departments to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in all financial aspects of the production process.

Job Summary:

The Production Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of a production project, ensuring accurate budgeting, reporting, and financial management throughout the production lifecycle. This role involves close collaboration with production teams to ensure financial compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Budget Management

• Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards.

• Monitor budgetary performance and provide regular updates to production management and stakeholders.

• Identify and address any variances between budgeted and actual expenditures.

• Prepare budget forecasts and scenario analyses to support production planning and decision-making.

• Cost Tracking and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of all production costs, including labour, materials, and overhead.

• Prepare and analyse cost reports, identifying trends, and providing insights into financial performance.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

-Perform cost-benefit analyses to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

Education- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Experience- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in production, manufacturing, or project-based financial roles. Proven track record in managing budgets, financial reporting, and cost tracking.

Technical Skills- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.

Knowledge- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), cost accounting, and budgeting processes. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and practices is a plus.

Interpersonal Skills- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Analytical Skills- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.

Time Management- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
