Production Admin

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Production Administrator to support daily production operations, inventory control and production reporting. This role works closely with QA, Production, Warehouse, Purchasing and Finance to ensure accurate inventory records, timely system updates and proper reconciliation of production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor availability of raw and packaging materials; flag shortages and support timely replenishment.
• Support daily production planning and coordinate material issuance, returns, transfers and finished-goods movements.
• Record daily production output, labour/man-hours, material consumption, packaging usage and wastage in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Perform daily inventory reconciliation between physical counts, production records and ERP balances; investigate and document variances.
• Maintain reconciliation logs and supporting documents for traceability, internal control and audit purposes.
• Monitor production KPIs, including output, yield, wastage, material usage, labour efficiency and inventory variances.
• Assist in maintaining Bills of Materials and support batch/run costing with Production and Finance teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production and inventory reports.
• Ensure production records and SOP requirements are completed accurately and on time.
• Highlight recurring wastage, production variances, stock discrepancies and process issues, and recommend corrective actions.

About you

• At least 3–4 years of experience in production administration, inventory control, operations support or similar roles; experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, packing or distribution is preferred.
• Good understanding of inventory reconciliation, stock movements, material consumption and month-end inventory close.
• Hands-on experience using an ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with production orders, Bills of Materials, batch records, yield, wastage and basic production costing is preferred.
• Highly organised, accurate and able to investigate and resolve data or inventory discrepancies.
• Able to work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Familiarity with SOP compliance, document control and food-safety or quality requirements will be an advantage.
