What they need
Company Overview
M&M Glass has been southern Louisiana's trusted custom glass and mirror provider for over 40 years. We're known for our high-quality work, customer-first service, and solid relationships with families, designers, contractors, and builders across the region. None of it would be possible without our hands-on team who shows up ready to work every day.
Life as a Production & Logistics Coordinator
Our Production & Logistics Coordinator serves as a connection point between our customers, materials, shop, and installation teams. You’ll coordinate installation scheduling, build efficient daily routes for our installation crews, and work across departments to make sure jobs are ready to go when and where they need to be.
You’ll communicate directly with customers to schedule installations, coordinate with our team to confirm jobs and materials are ready, and develop daily routes for approximately 5–9 installation trucks. Building those routes means looking beyond the calendar. You’ll consider job location, estimated installation time, installer capabilities, customer availability, staffing, training, and other logistics to make the most of each crew’s day.
And sometimes, the plan changes.
Weather, customer cancellations, delayed materials, training, PTO, or an unexpected installer call-out can quickly change a route. You’ll need to think critically, communicate quickly, and work with our managers to reorganize the day while keeping customers informed and our installation teams productive.
You don’t need to come to us knowing the glass industry. We’ll provide on-the-job training on our products, installation processes, showroom, software, and team capabilities. We’re looking for someone who is organized, comfortable communicating with customers and coworkers, and genuinely enjoys solving logistical puzzles.
A Day in the Life
As our Production & Logistics Coordinator, you'll manage the moving pieces behind our installation schedule. You'll work closely with customers, installers, managers, purchasing, and our shop team to make sure jobs are ready, routes make sense, and changes are handled quickly.
Installation Scheduling & Customer Communication
- Contact customers by phone and text to coordinate installation dates and availability.
- Maintain the upcoming installation schedule and work to efficiently schedule jobs as they become ready.

- Keep customers informed when weather, material issues, or other circumstances affect their scheduled installation.
- Maintain professional, solution-oriented communication when plans change or scheduling conflicts arise.
- Occasionally assist with scheduling measurement appointments and other customer service needs when necessary.
Route & Crew Coordination
- Develop daily installation routes for approximately 5-9 trucks based on scheduled jobs and available crews.
- Plan routes efficiently based on geographic location, estimated job duration, customer availability, and other logistical considerations.
- Look for opportunities to group jobs within the same geographic area to reduce unnecessary travel and maximize each crew's day.
- Maintain a working understanding of installer skill levels and capabilities to help match appropriate crews with specific types of installations.
- Coordinate with installation management to review and finalize crew assignments and daily routes.
- Track known employee availability, including scheduled PTO, early departures, training, and other planned absences that may affect scheduling.
- Plan around training opportunities and staffing needs while maintaining productive installation schedules.
- Communicate route information, schedule changes, and relevant job details to the appropriate team members.
- Help ensure crews have realistic workloads and sufficient time to complete scheduled installations.
Job & Material Readiness
- Work with purchasing, shop, and installation teams to track jobs as materials arrive and become ready for installation.
- Confirm that required glass, hardware, and other materials have arrived before scheduling applicable jobs.
- Help verify that incoming materials are in acceptable condition and ready to move forward for installation.
- Coordinate with managers to confirm jobs are complete and ready before placing them on installation routes.
- Monitor job status within company systems and follow up on missing information or outstanding items that may affect scheduling.
- Communicate material delays, damaged products, incomplete jobs, or other scheduling concerns to the appropriate team members.
Daily Problem Solving & Workflow
- Respond quickly when weather, customer cancellations, installer availability, jobsite conditions, or other unexpected changes disrupt the schedule.
- Rework routes and crew assignments with management when the original plan is no longer possible.
- Identify opportunities to fill unexpected schedule openings with other installation-ready jobs.
- Communicate changes promptly to customers, installers, and managers.
- Think ahead to identify potential scheduling conflicts before they become day-of problems.
Showroom & Team Support
- Develop working knowledge of M&M Glass products, services, installation processes, and terminology through on-the-job training.
- Learn and utilize Smart Glazier Toolbox and other company software used for scheduling and job tracking.
- Maintain enough product and showroom knowledge to assist walk-in customers when needed.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, installers, managers, vendors, and other team members.
- Assist with other production and scheduling-related responsibilities as needed.

- Detail-oriented enough to catch missing information or potential scheduling issues before they become bigger problems.
- Confident communicating by phone, text, and in person with customers and coworkers.
- Professional and solution-oriented when communicating delays, cancellations, or schedule changes.
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple departments and managers.
- Comfortable using maps, calendars, scheduling software, and other computer-based systems throughout the day.
