Production & Process Engineer

About the role

This role involves planning, coordinating and monitoring daily production activities to ensure production targets and customer requirements are met. You will monitor production output, productivity, quality, material usage, wastage and downtime, and develop, improve and standardize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily production activities to ensure production targets and customer requirements are met
• Monitor production output, productivity, quality, material usage, wastage and downtime
• Develop, improve and standardize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency
• Establish and maintain process flow, work instructions, production standards and routing
• Develop and maintain BOM, routing, process parameters and standard production times in the ERP system
• Ensure ERP production processes accurately reflect the actual manufacturing process on the factory floor
• Support creation, monitoring and completion of Manufacturing Orders (MO) in the ERP system
• Analyse production problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Work closely with Production Planning, Production, Quality, Warehouse and Procurement to resolve production and ERP-related issues
• Train production personnel on new processes, work instructions and relevant ERP procedures

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in production, process engineering or manufacturing
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred
• Good understanding of BOM, routing, Manufacturing Orders, production processes and material consumption
• Good Excel and data analysis skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on and practical approach with good understanding of factory operations
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
