Production Animal Service Adminstrator

About the role

You will be responsible for production animal charging, RVM administration, laboratory and mineral testing workflows, client reporting and management of the production timetable. You will work closely with veterinarians, technicians, clients and the wider clinic team to ensure records are complete, appointments are well managed and follow-up actions are completed promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Entering and checking production animal charges and client information accurately
• Maintaining RVM authorisations, records, expiry reminders and veterinarian follow-ups
• Preparing laboratory submissions, tracking samples and results, and producing veterinarian-approved client reports
• Managing the production animal diary, farm visits and technician schedules
• Communicating booking information, changes and follow-up requirements to clients and team members
• Providing backup support for counter service, payments, retail enquiries and clinic administration
• Assisting with stock ordering, deliveries, stocktakes and expiry-date monitoring

About you

• Strong administration, organisation and time-management skills
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
• Clear written and verbal communication with a strong customer-service approach
• Sound judgement and an understanding of when to refer matters to a veterinarian
• Flexibility to provide support across production, retail and general clinic administration
• Previous experience in veterinary services, farming, agriculture, rural retail, inventory or a related environment would be advantageous
• Knowledge of production animal terminology, RVM processes or laboratory workflows would be an advantage
