Production Assembler

Our valued client in Manufacturing Semi Trailors in Cranbourne West (Vic 3977) area,

is seeking Production Assemblers for casual ongoing day shifts (7am- 3:30pm) roles.

Preferred candidates with previous experience within the heavy vehicle body building industry.

Position Overview

The Production Assembler is responsible for assembling and fitting components used in the manufacture of semi-trailers. This role operates within a production environment and requires adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and production timelines. The position involves working with mechanical components, tools, and equipment to ensure finished products meet company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Assemble semi-trailer components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications

· Operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively

· Install mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical components where required

· Conduct quality checks to ensure assemblies meet required standards and tolerances

· Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions

· Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with workplace health and safety requirements

· Identify and report defects, faults, or production issues to supervisors

· Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production targets

· Follow all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

· Operate Forklift as needed (licence supplied and on file) - not essential.

Skills and Experience

· Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a similar production environment (preferred)

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (desirable)

· Experience using hand and power tools

· Basic mechanical aptitude

· Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

· Good communication skills

· Forklift licence (licence supplied and on file)

· Working from heights licence (desirable but not essential)

Qualifications & Requirements

· Relevant trade qualification (e.g. Mechanical, Fabrication) – advantageous but not essential

· Full working rights in Australia

· Work Conditions

· Exposure to a manufacturing/workshop environment (noise, dust, machinery)

· Manual handling and lifting required

· Standing for extended periods

· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required

. Reliable personal transportation is essential

· Adhere to Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and company safety procedures

. Participate in safety training and toolbox meetings

Pay: $33.00 – $34.00 per hour
