Production Assembly Technician / Headlight Builder

MWCustoms is hiring a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our production team in our dedicated headlight build room.

We specialize in custom automotive headlights, taillights, and painted truck accessories for customers nationwide.

This is a hands-on production position involving the assembly, wiring, installation, and testing of custom automotive lighting components.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working with hand and power tools, enjoys detailed assembly work, and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

Previous headlight-building experience is NOT required. However, prior experience using hand and power tools is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble automotive headlights and taillights.
• Install custom LED lighting, projectors, wiring, and other small components.
• Use hand and power tools for assembly, modification, and installation.
• Handle and assemble freshly painted components without damaging finished surfaces.
• Perform basic wiring, electrical connections, and lighting installation.
• Test lighting functions and inspect completed assemblies.
• Organize parts, tools, and materials for multiple customer orders.
• Follow detailed build instructions and quality control procedures.
• Work with our paint and production teams to complete orders efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and productive work area.

Requirements

• Previous experience using hand and power tools is REQUIRED.
• Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working with small components.
• Experience with drills, rotary tools, heat guns, and other shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precision assembly work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must be organized and able to manage multiple projects.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to maintain productivity while meeting quality standards.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following fields is a plus:

• Aircraft or aerospace assembly
• Automotive repair or customization
• Manufacturing and production assembly
• Electronics or electrical wiring
• Mechanical assembly
• Small-parts manufacturing

We are willing to train the right candidate on our specific products and build processes, but applicants must already have hands-on tool experience.
