You’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing process, using your technical skills and attention to detail to precisely assemble Business Class aircraft seat structures and components. Working with hand and power tools, jigs and fixtures, you’ll follow technical drawings and specifications, carry out quality checks and ensure every seat meets our exacting standards for quality, safety and performance. It’s a hands-on role where your skill, precision and attention to detail will directly contribute to bringing our innovative aircraft seating designs to life.
As a key member of our Production team, you’ll:
- Assemble our Business Class aircraft seat structures and components using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures
- Interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications accurately
- Perform mechanical and/or electrical sub-assemblies as required
- Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure conformance to specifications
- Report defects, malfunctions, or safety issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with 5S and health & safety practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production line
- Record production data as required (e.g., build times, serial numbers, non-conformance reports)
- Work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues across departments
🧠 What we look for in our Production Assembly Technicians
Could you be the hands-on, precision-focused person we’re looking for? If you have experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, a keen eye for detail and the technical skills to work confidently from engineering drawings and with hand and power tools, you could be a great fit for our Assembly Technician team at Unum Aircraft Seating.
You’ll bring:

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation within a highly regulated environment
- Skilled in the use of basic hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and workplace safety procedures
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Previous experience with aircraft seating and/or working to CAA and EASA standards would be a great advantage, although this is not essential.
