About Us

NES Ltd is an established aerospace engineering company specialising in precision CNC milling and turning.

We are looking for a Production Assistant to join our team.

About the Role

This is a varied role involving packing, dispatch, inspection, raw materials management and organising subcontract treatments, along with some purchasing and general administration.

The successful applicant will work alongside our engineers and inspection team, helping to ensure parts move through production and are delivered to customers on time.

Main Duties

• Packing components ready for dispatch
• Booking couriers and arranging deliveries
• Assisting with inspection of manufactured components
• Receiving and checking incoming materials and goods
• Organising subcontract treatments such as anodising, plating and heat treatment
• Preparing paperwork and arranging collections and deliveries for subcontract work
• Chasing suppliers and monitoring delivery dates
• Assisting with purchasing materials, tooling and consumables
• Maintaining stock and material records
• General factory organisation and housekeeping
• Supporting engineers with other production tasks as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and happy to get involved in different areas of the business.

You should have:

• Good attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A practical approach to work
• The ability to work as part of a small team
• A willingness to learn

Previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, inspection, packing or purchasing would be useful but is not essential. Training will be provided.
