Production assistant Engineer

About the role

Perfect Packaging Solutions Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a talented Production Assistant Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Port Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to support the production planning and scheduling operations within our dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and production teams to optimise manufacturing processes, ensure efficient scheduling, and maintain production quality standards. The Production Assistant Engineer will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between planning and execution, helping to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across our packaging manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of production schedules and manufacturing plans to meet customer demand and production targets
• Monitor production workflows and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the manufacturing process
• Support the coordination of raw materials, equipment, and labour resources to ensure smooth production operations
• Collect and analyse production data to track key performance indicators and report on production metrics
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain quality standards
• Support maintenance activities and equipment inspections to ensure optimal machinery performance
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet specified standards and customer requirements
• Prepare production reports and documentation as required by management
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and support a safe working environment on the production floor

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in using production planning software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of quality control standards and manufacturing best practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with packaging manufacturing or related industries is highly desirable
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in manufacturing settings
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
