Production Assistant/Graphic Designer

The position is best for someone with 1+ years of experience within the print industry, digital printing preferred. We are looking for someone with experience and training in the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and Illustrator. Great attention to detail and organizational skills of key importance. We are looking for quality of character as well as experience. The daily workflow would be mainly production with graphic design as overlap as needed.

Minimum Qualifications required for consideration:

• College level courses in the Adobe Creative Suite; primarily InDesign and Illustrator with proficiency.
• 1+ years of recent professional work experience in printing, preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Passion for print and promotional product design and production.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to effectively work in a team environment
• Professional appearance

Daily Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Print finishing and bindery duties such as cutting, folding, stapling, padding, etc.
• Assisting in the preparation and printing of digital files, checking fonts, links, and colors, creating bleeds, crops, and imposing art when required.
• Creating custom quotes based on specified job requirements.
• Communicating courteously with clients to assist them with the creation of their jobs.
• Reviewing job specifications from work orders and ensuring that client files are accurate and the finished job exceeds customer expectations.
• Equipment maintenance and inventory management.
• Designing logos and print collateral
• General shop cleaning and organization.
