Production Assistant/Operator

We are currently looking to recruit a production assistant/operator to work within a small but busy company in Exeter, Marsh Barton. We are local providers of printing and embroidery workwear and leisure wear for customers around Devon and beyond.

You will be based in our production area where you will be involved in all aspects of production where needed. This role will be extremely varied and at times have multiple jobs on the go.

Main Duties:

• Read job sheets and make sure the correct embroider/print is on the correct garments in the correct places
• Operate large industrial embroidery machines and heat presses
• Frame various garments in various positions ready for embroidering
• Load the embroidery designs onto computer systems
• Print various garments
• Send customer orders out via the courier system
• Sort out deliveries into smaller jobs
• Run large format printers (Direct-to-Film)

You should:

• Be able to work in a team and on your own
• Make sure all garments are embroidered/printed to our own high standards
• Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines when needed
• Deal with customers on the phone and face to face in a polite and professional manner
• Be positive, energetic can-do attitude in all things
• Be well organised and always punctual

Experience is not essential as full training will be given but the applicant must be eager to learn.

You will also have training in other areas of the business as you may need to get involved and help due to staff holidays or illnesses.

Working hours are Mon – Thurs: 9am – 5pm, Friday: 9am – 4pm.

Pay: £12.85-£13.50 per hour
