Production Associate - 2nd Shift

First Source Worldwide (FSW) manufactures and distributes tailor-made chemicals and colorants. We focus on sourcing quality chemical and dye products for use across multiple industries and applications including leather, textile, paper, coatings, carpet, wood, HI&I, and more.

FSW is currently looking for a production associate to work 2nd shift 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The production associate will:

• Make batches by loading equipment according to work orders with proper product and weight.
• Confirm weights of partial containers; report discrepancies.
• Be able to do basic math to complete batch sheet paperwork.
• Take samples from finished products and deliver to the lab for QC testing. Make adjustments as directed by the lab.
• Package materials based on instructions provided in the work order.
• Ensure cleanliness of all packaging prior to staging in shipping & receiving.
• Label all batches with pre-approved labels.
• Place finished orders in the staging area for shipping & receiving to prepare for shipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work station, equipment, and overall facility.
• Ensure safety of self & others; follow procedures & avoid incidents.
• Maintain attendance.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned (this list is not inclusive).

Production associate will need:

• A high school degree or general education degree (GED); and 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic math skills are required.
• Daily attendance and punctuality is a must.
• Effective verbal, and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies
• Ability to lift 50 lbs independently and occasionally throughout the shift
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test post-employment offer
