About the role
Relish The Barossa is seeking an experienced Production Chef/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team on a full-time basis. Based in Nuriootpa, South Australia, this role is central to our commitment to delivering high quality, reliable retail-ready products for our customers. As a Production Chef/Cook, you will play a vital part in our kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality, creativity and efficiency in food preparation. This position offers the opportunity to continue to use your skills in an environment that provides work-life balance away from late nights and lost weekends.

Duties include:

• Produce high quality food for the packing team to convert and complete into retail-ready containers.
• Assist with the supervision of staff to achieve production goals and maintain food quality.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S and food safety standards, including HACCP monitoring.
• Work with current and new customers to develop products for their own sales activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and environment while minimising waste.
• Record production data and support other production team members with daily tasks.
• Lead in line with Relish The Barossa’s values, fostering trust and teamwork.
• Assist with the provision of coaching and training to enhance team effectiveness.

You bring to the role:

• Previous experience working in a high-volume food production, manufacturing or catering environment.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members

• Organised and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize work to get things done

• Certificate 3 commercial cookery or equivalent experience.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members

• Food Safety Certification (desirable).
