Production Chemist (Process Manufacturing – Alkaloid Processing)

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Production Chemist to support and run batch processing operations, manage reactions, and ensure consistent production output.

What You’ll Work On

• Jacketed stainless steel reactors (1000L–2000L)
• Extraction and refinement processes
• Filtration and pressure systems
• Solvent-based processing
• Vacuum systems and falling film equipment

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor batch production processes
• Control reaction parameters (temperature, pressure, timing, flow)
• Handle solvents, acids, and bases safely
• Perform extraction, filtration, and refinement steps
• Troubleshoot process issues and improve efficiency
• Maintain batch records and ensure consistency

What We Want

• Background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in process manufacturing or chemical production
• Hands-on experience running processes
• Comfortable working on the production floor

Preferred

• Extraction or solvent-based processing
• Large-scale batch processing
• GMP or regulated environments
