PRODUCTION CLERK

About the role

Zhongda Shelf & Rack Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Clerk to join our manufacturing and logistics team. This is a full-time position based in Pasir Gudang, Johor. As Production Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the production planning and scheduling operations of our facility. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate production records, coordinating between departments, and ensuring that production schedules are efficiently managed to meet our operational targets. This role is essential to the smooth running of our manufacturing processes and directly impacts our ability to deliver products on time and maintain quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update production schedules and work orders in compliance with production targets and deadlines
• Record and monitor production progress, including tracking materials, labour hours and production output
• Prepare and distribute production documentation, including work instructions, quality control reports and delivery schedules
• Coordinate communication between production, planning, warehouse and quality assurance departments to ensure smooth workflow
• Monitor inventory levels and alert relevant teams to material shortages or delays that may impact production
• Assist in the preparation of production data and reports for management review
• Support the resolution of production issues and discrepancies in a timely manner
• Ensure all production records and documentation are accurately maintained and filed according to company procedures

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification, with additional training in production management or logistics preferred
• Proven experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in planning and scheduling functions
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when recording and maintaining production records
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across different departments
• Knowledge of inventory management and production planning processes
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes to support operational efficiency
