Production Control Director

In Thailand, the company operates large-scale manufacturing facilities that play a strategic role in supporting regional and global customers.

Responsibilities

• Own production planning and control across demand, materials, inventory, capacity, manpower, production and delivery.
• Translate production plans into clear visibility of sales, profit and future capacity requirements for management decision-making.
• Maximize SAP utilization by reducing the export, manual processing and re-entry of data in Excel, practices that have contributed to ordering omissions and production stoppages.
• Establish disciplined planning controls, management information and escalation processes for shortages, bottlenecks and delivery risks.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, logistics and other functions to agree and follow through recovery plans.
• Redesign the organization, clarify management accountability and strengthen onboarding, team support, motivation and retention.
• Develop managers as people leaders rather than individual contributors, while maintaining sufficient hands-on understanding of factory operations.
• Build appropriate understanding and governance of import/export and trade matters, including BOI interfaces, certificates of origin, HS codes, FTA considerations, Incoterms, tariffs and destination-country requirements.
• Introduce relevant external practices constructively and build sustainable systems and organizational capability without creating unnecessary friction.

Qualifications:

• Experience leading production planning, production control or supply chain in a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Deep expertise across demand, materials, inventory, capacity, manpower, production and delivery planning, with the numerical strength to connect operating plans to sales, profit and future capacity decisions.
• A successful record of increasing SAP utilization and replacing manual, Excel-dependent and person-dependent practices with reliable systems, controls and management information.
• Proven factory-wide leadership across manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, logistics and related functions, including responsibility for resolving shortages, production constraints and delivery risks.
• Experience redesigning organizations, strengthening managers as people leaders, improving onboarding and support, and building team capability, motivation and retention.
• Strong working knowledge of import/export and trade requirements, including BOI interfaces, certificates of origin, HS codes, FTA considerations, Incoterms, tariffs and destination-country requirements.
• Demonstrated success introducing external benchmarks and proven practices while engaging established teams constructively and minimizing unnecessary friction.
• English communication capability sufficient to work effectively with Thai, Japanese and regional or international senior stakeholders.
