PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

About the role

Manage vendor or sub-contractor relationships and collaborate with staff, other departments, senior management, and decision makers to share information and clarify management objectives. Develop and participate in the development of the supply chain strategy for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Compare price from 2 sub-contractors and get approval from MD and arrange, source & control negotiate price for parts fabrication & sub-contracting
• Manage and execute procurement related functions (e.g., procurement frameworks, sourcing strategies and negotiation)
• Track property passes for all parts to be out of company premise
• Manage vendor or sub-contractor activities, reviewing proposals, developing performance specifications, and serving as a liaison with the organizations
• Assign, monitoring and follow up progress of the sub-contractor status
• Receiving & inspection of incoming parts
• Monitor and update current progress status at ERP system from time to time

About you

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in manufacturing
• Excellent problem-solving skills, investigative skills, and detail oriented
• Good communication skills – written and verbal
• Able to use Microsoft Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Able to understand drawing
