Production Coordinator

About the role

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a dedicated and organized Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing operations team. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As Production Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of our production schedules and the efficient coordination of manufacturing operations. This position is essential to maintaining our production timelines, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting the overall strategic objectives of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating daily production schedules and ensuring adherence to planned timelines and deadlines
• Communicating production requirements and updates to manufacturing teams, supervisors and department heads
• Monitoring production progress and identifying bottlenecks or delays, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Preparing production reports and documentation, including tracking key performance indicators and metrics
• Liaising between production, planning, purchasing and quality assurance departments to ensure smooth operations
• Managing inventory levels and coordinating material availability to support production requirements
• Supporting the development and maintenance of production schedules and capacity planning
• Assisting with the implementation of production process improvements and efficiency initiatives
• Maintaining accurate records of production data and supporting audit and compliance documentation

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a production coordination, planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Proficiency with production planning software and systems, including experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or similar tools
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling principles and inventory management
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping and report preparation
• Problem-solving ability and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
• Diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• Preferred: experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial production environments
