About Retana Builders
Builders is a specialty contractor delivering drywall, framing, insulation, painting, wallcovering, and interior finish work for residential, commercial, and government projects across the DMV. Our residential division focuses on new construction — production single-family homes, townhome communities, and custom homes — for builders and developers across the region. We are growing and looking for Production Drywall Hangers who can put up high volumes of clean, square board day after day.
The Role
This is a production position. The Production Drywall Hanger installs gypsum board on wood and metal framing in new-construction single-family homes and townhomes, working under the direction of the Job Foreman and Project Manager. You will hang walls, ceilings, soffits, bulkheads, garages, and basements to the drawings and specs, and you will be expected to move through houses on a repeating production schedule, hitting and sustaining high daily board counts on fast-track schedules. Speed and quality are both required and both are rewarded — top producers earn performance-based incentives and bonuses on top of hourly pay. We are looking for hangers who can move fast without giving the finishers rework.
